Rental Equipment Protection

Rental Equipment Protection (REP) is a straightforward way to protect against accidental damage or loss
of rented equipment during the rental period. For added protection, Rental Liability Protection (RLP) helps
cover third-party injury or property damage that may occur during equipment operation.
Together, these options provide broader coverage so you can rent with greater confidence.

Coverage Options:

Physical damage coverage including, but not limited to:

  • Accidental damage
  • Collision
  • Theft
  • Fire, flood, wind, hail
  • Overturns and falling objects
  • Other non-excluded perils

RENTAL LIABILITY PROTECTION (RLP)

  • Third-party bodily injury

BENEFITS

While REP is required for customers who do not have existing rental coverage, it is a value-added option for customers who do. When paired with Rental Liability Protection (RLP), it provides broader protection for both equipment and jobsite risk. Here’s why:

• REP is separate from your own equipment coverage. Claims will not affect your property and casualty premiums.
• The straightforward All Risk coverage makes for hassle-free claims.
• If equipment is damaged while rented, you are not liable to pay diminished value.
• REP stays in effect as long as the equipment is rented.
• RLP adds a layer of liability protection beyond equipment damage.
• Helps reduce exposure to third-party claims during operation.
• Can be used in place of or alongside existing liability coverage.

PER MACHINE DEDUCTIBLE

The REP deductible is applied per machine rented. In the event of loss or damage** to your rental equipment eligible under the All Risk coverage, you pay the deductible towards repair or replacement costs and the coverage pays the rest, up to $500,000 per incident.

• $1,000 deductible for machines valued up to $25,000
• $2,500 deductible for machines valued over $25,000

**REP is typically 15% of the rental rate, RLP is typically 4%, and combined REP and RLP
coverage is typically 19%. If equipment is damaged while on rent, contact your Fabick Cat Rentals representative immediately. Failure to report serious damage could invalidate the REP agreement.
