The 2-year ThinkBIG program teaches students how to service Cat® equipment using cutting-edge diagnostic and maintenance systems, advanced technologies and high-tech tools. ThinkBIG combines classroom work in state-of-the-art labs with hands-on learning in the field. Through this program, students see technology in real-world applications, develop problem-solving skills and learn about helping customers.

ThinkBIG is located at the State Technical College of Missouri at Linn State with the opportunity to receive on-the-job training through internships at Cat dealerships. Graduates of the ThinkBIG program receive an Associate Degree in Applied Science and are rewarded with great salary, benefits and unrivaled opportunities for professional growth.

In addition to substantial financial support, Fabick Cat brings the capabilities of its entire organization as well as the assistance of our partners to this innovative technical college program. Students are trained by experienced instructors and have the opportunity to work on current model Cat equipment, engines, generators and switchgear using the latest tools and advanced diagnostic technology.

Competitive Salary
The heavy equipment industry pays great, and Cat dealerships lead the way in offering competitive salaries and opportunities for career advancement. As an entry-level Service Technician, you can expect to earn $40,000 – $60,000 a year – at least as much as a four-year college graduate. Then as your skills and experience increase over time, your salary could grow to as much as $65,000 to $80,000 a year. Please note, dealer wages and benefits vary throughout the world.
