Fabick Cat Hosts Annual Open House & Global Operator Challenge in Wausau

Last week, Fabick Cat welcomed over 300 guests to its annual Open House at 9601 Christie Lane in Weston, Wisconsin. This event featured the second local phase of Caterpillar’s prestigious Global Operator Challenge and drew a dynamic mix of equipment operators, industry professionals, and community members.

Guests enjoyed a variety of engaging activities, including live equipment demonstrations, interactive displays, and opportunities to network with Fabick Cat experts and Caterpillar representatives. The event also included lunch and door prizes for attendees.

At the heart of the event was the Global Operator Challenge, where skilled operators competed in timed events focused on speed, accuracy, and precision. Spectators gathered to cheer on participants vying for a chance to advance to the regional round. After impressive displays of talent, Fabick Cat proudly crowned Billy Liebhauser of Zillges Materials Inc. out of Oshkosh, Wisconsin as the overall champion of the day’s challenges – and he will head to the next phase of the competition later this year!

Beyond the competition, the event served as a showcase for the latest advancements in Cat equipment and technology. From compact machines to large earthmoving equipment, attendees were able to get hands-on with cutting-edge tools and learn how Fabick Cat is driving innovation and improving productivity across the construction and heavy equipment industry.
